Is it all over for Food Bill S510?

Posted by on December 2, 2010

Farmers markets safe for now!

What do you think? Is is over for Food Bill S510? Apparently, the bill was so complex that our Senators made a slip up, of their own, while trying to push the bill through the House. Something about new taxes being in the bill that was a no-no for the Senators–only the House can pass taxes into law.

I have a good pal who raises her own chickens for eggs, whom I called immediately on hearing the news. Connie Schenone was just as elated as I and figures her small egg biz is safe from Big Brother…for the time being. It’s amazing how many of us would be affected by this bill, if it were to pass.

Funny that the sun is out today; it seems a comment on the direction of healthy foods in this country. The effort to gain food freedom is by no means over, but all this focused attention, on where we want to go with it, seems to be swaying things in the right direction. Keep thinking positively…it’s working! Love to hear your thoughts on this!

Here’s my article on Examiner.com about this topic! And yet another!

Thanks for sharing. This bill has me all upset, and I am not a naturally politically minded person!

Oh my lord…I believe you are a true genuine human being that just made a comment! Thank you, Jackie. The spam comments from porno sites was making me thing I should change my content into something a bit more slinky. As for your comment, yes, it really hit home for me and my family because of the impact it would have on raw milk! It seems to be stalled at the moment….perhaps for good…and that would be for good! Thanks for commenting.
